It sounds incredible. This version is extremely rare, and is the original configuration for the circuit (technically a prototype). This is one of my favorite versions, with its own subtle flair.

Building this version of the pedal is a labor of love to the extreme. This version is entirely old style through-hole components, and on the original pcb, which I have not produced in over two years. I get so many requests for this circuit that I've decided to open up orders, but only for the next few days.

I also think of this pedal as a "HiFi" version of the circuit, as it comes with a Burr Brown OPA2134 op-amp, which has a distinctive feel and gain sound that is clear and so nice sounding. Also included (for tinkerers) is the original op-amp. You can switch these components out only using your fingers, because the parts are socketed.

Also adding to the "lore" of this pedal, is that it is a slight modification to the circuit, which also makes a unique sound and experience. Featuring Zero-gain mode, when you turn the DRV knob all the way down, it takes the distortion circuit out of the signal path almost entirely, which leaves only the always on preamp section of the circuit, which is really cool sounding. It is very dark, very clean, very thick, and creates a really nice boost sound, but very different from any boost or preamp pedal that I have used. Typically you need to turn the CUT (tone) knob all the way down, to allow the maximum amount of treble through. As soon as you turn up the DRV knob a little bit, the pedal goes back into what is closer to "normal" operation mode, but is still warmer, thicker, and a bit more clear than the standard circuit.

These pedals (from this batch) will be hand assembled by me in Nashville, TN.

Will ship with standard packaging materials, including a screen printed bag, and some fun stickers.

These pedals will come in a slightly updated enclosure design, made from aluminum, which is much lighter, and made small batch in the USA.

Featuring original knobs!

Runs on 9v standard (boss style) power.
