To me, this circuit really shines in the lower gain stages, and has a lot of clarity and character. One of my favorite sounds is zero gain, barely clipping cleans, but I also love the middle range of rock guitar sounds, all the way up to almost fuzz. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\"\u003eSo I’ve been working on this V2 circuit of DRV for more than a year now, and I finally got it right. Instead of trying to exactly copy the original circuit, I decided to make some changes. I've been using this version personally with my band, and I love it. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\"\u003eI've had some genius help with this circuit. Originally engineered and designed by Jon Ashley of Bondi Effect, it has been redesigned and engineered by John Snyder of Electronic Audio Experiments (who also did the LVL circuit). Both are friends and geniuses. I see this version as an improvement in every way.
