DRV2

Here is such a fun one. This pedal is so bold and also soft at the same time. Such a vibe. It reminded me of a prop from a Wes Anderson movie. The color is a type of Pink, but almost has a bit of a coral undertone. I tried to show that by including some different pictures. It's really very nice. This will not be a standard issue, so grab one while you can!

Hand screen printed "1981" in a very cool sort of blue-green by my friend Zack Slater of LCO Industries

I'm trying this option for a little mod to select, if you are after something with slightly different character. Select either STANDARD clipping, or choose LED for a different sound. The clearest way I can describe what it does in the LED MOD, is that it makes DRV much louder, less compressed, slightly less gain, and really allows complex open chords, maj7 type stuff to come through clearly. It's also very nice on the lowest gain settings. It is cleaner, but also a bit more "firm" if that tracks.

Both circuits can run at 9v or 18v (for even more headroom)

thought this looked nice with the clear knobs

DRV2 is the new standard enclosure and circuit!

This is a high quality and unique distortion pedal in sound and design. To me, this circuit really shines in the lower gain stages, and has a lot of clarity and character. One of my favorite sounds is zero gain, barely clipping cleans, but I also love the middle range of rock guitar sounds, all the way up to almost fuzz.

So I’ve been working on this V2 circuit of DRV for more than a year now, and I finally got it right. Instead of trying to exactly copy the original circuit, I decided to make some changes. I've been using this version personally with my band, and I love it.

I've had some genius help with this circuit. Originally engineered and designed by Jon Ashley of Bondi Effect, it has been redesigned and engineered by John Snyder of Electronic Audio Experiments (who also did the LVL circuit). Both are friends and geniuses. I see this version as an improvement in every way. It's quieter (less noise), more efficient.

Internal switch to select true-bypass (almost always worse, but sometimes better!)

These pedals (from this batch) will be hand assembled by Jack, AWOL, and I, in Nashville, TN.

Runs on 9v standard (boss style) power. This particular version can also run at 18v. Battery clip or power supply is not included. An isolated power supply is recommended.

INTL Shipping is now $35USD (flat rate)

A note for international. I’m lowering my international shipping rate. I realize that tariffs are a drag. While I can’t control what governments do, I have made my shipping more efficient and I’m passing on the savings straight to you! Shipping through UPS Expedited (unless otherwise requested). EU orders will be responsible for VAT taxes, and all countries are responsible for knowing the import tax laws within your country.
